What I Do

Provide you and your loved ones with the knowledge, process and tools that enable you to survive and thrive.

I Coach.

A coach can help with setting goals, monitoring progress and being accountable.  All proven athletes and successful business people make use of coaches and mentors.

I Speak.

Dad is available for speaking engagements.  My approach is to motivate, influence, educate and entertain the audience.   Some people find finance a bit dry so I find it helps the audience’s attention by keeping things light.  Good story telling is also a way to keep folks engaged and it helps aid retention of important facts.

I Write.

Dad can also help with research, analysis and the write up of the results.  This can be used for any purpose.  Some examples are contribution to books, websites,  research papers and advertising.

Testimonials

“Dad’s Personal Finance was a big help when my Father passed away.  I had no idea how much was involved in the resolution of an estate.  Dad’s Personal Finance was very patient and clear on how to handle all of the financial issues.  While my Father was very detailed and kept records, none of them were available to me and Dad’s Personal Finance helped me reconstruct his entire estate.   Dads Personal Finance also helped me with the entire process beginning with cremation all the way through the closing out of probate.  I am forever grateful”  — Patricia Bonitatibus

“After 32 years of marriage, I found myself in the midst of a divorce and  finances were the last thing on my mind.  The more time that passed, I realized that I should have been more concerned about my future.  Dads Personal Finance helped coach me on how to reestablish my money plan step by  step  to reclaim my future.  I also appreciate the positive experience without making me feel bad about my situation”  — Kathy Blanchette

My Story

As a young child I learned about the importance of financial literacy.  My Father was a salesman and he traveled quite often all in aspiration of supporting his family.  I don’t know if his intent was to actual teach me or he just like to discuss things out loud to help with clarity.  After all discussing topics like interest rates, amortization and the rule of 72 are advanced topics for a young child.  I am not sure that he ever knew how much of an effect it had on me.  It caused me to start my studies in accounting, although I never completed that degree instead changing computer science.

This early indoctrination along with what amounted to what one might call a strong “Puritan work ethic” gave me an early appreciation for working hard, saving and investing to become successful.   Now that all sounds good but it wasn’t all roses from then to now.  There were many steps, failures and learning experiences along the way.  You will learn more about that as you read more.  Read Dad’s story by selecting the button below to learn more.
